Another inspiring teacher in my life... :)

I just saw him in front of the entrance door of Khib design building today. So surprising since I had not seen him since January 2012! The fisrt time I met him was in December 2011, in a creativity workshop with another lecturer of Khib, Torhild Eide Torgersen, who is a wonderfully inspiring person herself! I learned a lot from that course and also our creativity work shop in January. Anthony Quinn was so kind to give me sometime to talk about my project the next time he comes back to Bergen, I m happy for that! I m sure there will be lots of new ideas and creativity after this meeting!

A semester with 55% work!

on Friday 16th of December 2011 my first semester in KHIB just finished. we had the semester evaluation in the first week of December and then some left lectures. Writing a semester report at the end of the term helped me understand that i had used half of my energy on studying and the rest for learning the language and getting used to living in Bergen. I really need to be more focused in the next semester and work harder. I have to read so many books on Visual Rhetorics and Semiotics. We had the basic communication theories with Morten W.Knudsen who was a real great lecturer and made us learn the basics of the visual studies very well.I am looking forward to the next term to begin and study the books he told me. In the last day of the semester I had a very short interview with him about my master project and at the end he told me that they are delighted that I study in this school! =)
I also made a new blog for the joint project we had by the name ofour group "Idea Hunters" and uploaded our project descriptions there.
To have an overview during my 1st semester of master of Design in KHIB I had the honor having classes with Torhild Eide Torgersen, Linda Lien and and Bente Irminger,Randi Benedikte Brodersen and Jena Habegger and also Anthony Quinn from London.

The M.A teachers

Studying Master of Arts in crafts i ve had many good teachers and i m really proud of being their student and today i wanna talk about two of them Mr.Hamid Severi and Dr.Hamid Keshmirshekan in this post. Mr.Severi's main field of study is photography and history of art. He has studyed Art history in one of the U.S.A universities. He taught us "The applied Arts History" and "Research methodologies". He is a real good teacher i will never forget his classes. here's his own website: http://www.hseveri.com
Dr.H. Keshmirshekan had PHD in Art history & researches from Eastern Studies, Oriental Institute, Oxford University. wow! it was really exciting for me that he was graduated from Oxford! He taught us "ART Criticism". I'm still proud of being in contact with him via e-mail and i believe that he is a real unique man in his field of study.
in this picture from left u can see Mr.Severi- Dr.Keshmirshekan and Mrs Farah Osouli (one of the most famous contemporary female Iranian painters) she's very kind i ve talk to her ;)

The Grandfather

Some people believe that "Morteza Momayez" is the Godfather of the Graphic in Iran. Well there have been people who studied and taught Graphic Design before him but no one can deny that he has been the most hard working Iranian Graphic Designer in the last decades. I had the Chance to be his student for 1 term in the faculty of fine Arts- University of Tehran where he was the manager of the Graphic Design group in visual Arts department. He taught us how to talk about a poster, how to criticize a graphic art work. He also taught us to be decisive and responsible and impartial for writing an Art critic. He died of Cancer (after many years of fighting it) in fall 2005 when i was just about to graduate. He was really kind i loved him but I can never forget the authority of his eyes. God bless him/
